My work is mainly observational and mildly abstract. I often base my paintings around the form of the body. I paint in very thin washes, building up layers of translucent colours whilst allowing the paint to run across the surface, deliberately keeping the surface very flat. My ultimate aim is to create paintings with an enigmatic and mysterious aura.
