Throughout my life I have been intrigued by our attempts to explain what we are, and how we came to be and how we perceive the signposts around us that may help us in this eternally complex quest. One strand of thought is that the patterns within us are in common with 'The Eagles Nest' nebula, where stars are born, to the lightening in our sky, to the trees and to us. These patterns or fractals are described mathematically.

I use many different imaging modalities, from the fractal mark making in my etchings, to X-rays, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and video installations.

My art work over the years has stretched from large two ton red earth sculptures, video installations, painting and latterly etching.

Throughout last year, I have worked with multiple plate etchings, by overlying fractal images, with graphs, or astrological images, and finally with coloured tissue shapes and have developed a technique for the mark making of fractals
