I work in egg tempera on gesso panels. I am revisiting this ancient technique to produce powerful abstract pieces using dramatic features of the landscape and the human form as inspiration. Egg tempera with its luminous quality, brilliance of colour and sensual surface, makes an exciting and wide-ranging medium for a more contemporary approach and adds an enigmatic layered quality to the images.
