I create sculptural birds using steel binding
wire. I do not use any solder or adhesive, I simply bind the wire
around itself. I feel this is what gives my work its unique
character.
My wire sculptures are my interpretation of the birds I see in the
wild. I like to use black wire, as it is similar to pencil lines but
three dimensional. Influences on my work include taxidermy, Racheal
Higgins and Thomas Hill.
