I am often influenced by the landscape and whilst living in Brighton I have painted many sea-scapes and boats. I paint traditional themes such as flowers, animals, landscapes and sea-scapes, but produce them with a contemporary edge through the use of style and colour. Colour is very important to me: I like to use bright, cheerful colours matching the simple, positive, themes of my paintings.
