Diego Della Volpe

"SUSPIRIA DE PROFUNDIS" is a series of self-portraits that have been made in low light conditions, which enable the artist to capture long exposure photographs, varying from twenty minutes to two hours. Throughout this duration the photographer engages in a dialogue with the camera, treating it as a confidant with whom the conventional taboos of communication do not interfere.

The whole experience can perhaps be related to the didactic relationship between patient and psychologist.
