Through painting I deal with the idea of decay derived from the residues of everyday life. The marks that I discover act as accidental graffiti. I explore the potentials of unconventional materials in painting: to replicate and realise the strengths in these observations of decay and to show how important these marks are as an enquiry into the ways of the world and our everyday lives.
