My recent work deals with the examination of the pre-conscious state of mind, daydreams, fantasies and dreamlike images. I aim to capture the imagination of the viewer and create an illusion and depth in my work that the viewer can explore through the interaction of abstraction and figuration through dancers and portraits. The human figure is an ongoing social discourse that provides me with an abundance of themes and ideas that I combine with line and pattern to distract and create different dimensions and viewpoints to give an expressive yet graphic detail, allowing the viewer complete freedom of interpretation according to his/her own reaction and way of viewing.
