My work seeks roots through exploring archetypal roles and fantasies: abuser and victim, innocence and sexuality, passivity and violence, the hidden and seen. These themes are then projected into scenarios of science fiction futures or personal / family ancestral past events.

I work with media including; pencil, paint, lacquers and spray paint on MDF, plyboard, plastics and aluminium, film, performance and photography.

My working process starts with foraging for materials, digestion then elimination. Intensity and seduction are key elements of the creative process and the work that is generated represents snap shot sectional views from this process.

The pieces often draw out implied violence, the promise of love and beauty, sex, but also innocence, purity, curiosity and softness.
