Adam Green's primary inspiration is the physical process of painting. By using appropriated imagery, patterns, grids, industrial and geometric designs as his vocabulary he is exploring and trying to defeat the logic of the 2-D surface. The paintings themselves are multi layered. Sometimes only a distant echo of a previous layer remains creating an intuitive feeling of memory and the passage of time.
